BLACK DRESS & WHITE BOW
Well, hi everyone! It's been a while but here I am now. Hope you are all doing well and had a great year behind you since we are in December already. Last year for me was very turbulent if I may say it in that way, so I have decided to take it easy this year and spend more time with my friends and family or just do things I enjoy. Living an adventurous life between flying and "keeping it simple" life sometimes can be quite tough. I took my time to restart, refresh and now I'm all set for new adventures.
Even though, I have been living in Abu Dhabi for 4 years now, I can still say I'm exploring this city. Actually, continuously exploring because there is always something new around. This time is it the Louvre. We all know about the one and only Louvre in Paris, but not anymore. Yes, the original one will still be the one and only in Paris, but not in the world anymore. So, that's where I went to take my pictures. I've heard so much about the building itself and the amazing lighting inside and had to go check it out.
This is not a post about Louvre.
It's all about little black dress. Always was.
I wanted to make everyone think I came from all the way from Paris to check out the Louvre!
don't look back
the future is forward
about the look
this dress was kind of the love at the first sight even though at the end I wasn't even sure if I should buy it or not. I'm completely obsessed with bows and ruffles at the moment and I was regularly for days checking out dresses similar to this one on websites like Asos or Storets. I prefer to shop when I can try clothes on and buy, over the online shopping. I know the online shopping nowadays is becoming everything, but I'm still lets say old school. Back to the dress.
I love the fabric of the dress, it's light and sleeves moment is really lovely. There is a polo-style neck and a small ruffle over the chest and a white bow contrasting the black dress. All of it on the same dress, and you might think wow that's too much, but it is actually put all together in a very elegant and decent way. The dress might be too short for my taste, but wearing with a leather over-the-knee boots (also from Zara) actually looks very well since the boots are covering the most of the legs. I also tried the dress with the short boots and just didn't like it.
I laid my eyes on this bag as soon as I walked in the one of the Serbian shoes and bags stores back home. The shop is called Shoestar and I believe they have shops only in Serbia.
The day before I bought this bag, I went shopping, but specially searching to buy something red. Since red is the color of this season I was sure I will find plenty of red stuff but I ended up with nothing. So I went for this bag. I like the shape of it and details are quite interesting. The studs and small black stones on the shoulder belt and along the side of the bag really added to its look.
